 For those unfamiliar with the Automotive X-Prize let me enlighten you. Its a race to build the world's first mass-production car capable of triple-digit fuel economy with a $10 million prize for building the most super-efficient, super-clean car people would actually buy. So far 20 teams from around the globe have officially registered with over 100 signing letters of intent. With the recent push for more fuel efficient cars events like these are key in the development of new ideas and technologies to help save us from the pumps.
